Walls, Walls.

There's more happening than I can keep up with!  The forms were stripped yesterday and now you can see those beautiful concrete walls...my favorite part: the windows!

Today, the damp proofing was done and the basement was graded; also, the plumber (Tony Orlando - and no, his wife's name is not Dawn) stubbed in the basement bath.

We met with the landscaper today to go over a rock wall that's going to be put in beside the garage; we also got to talk patios, flowers, grass and....a future pool!!  So excited!!  Steve Sibley will do the landscaping - can't wait to see his designs.  Won't be much going on in that area until spring...so, it will be a bit of a wait.

Foundation walls after forms were stripped but before damp proofing.

The big truck that lifts the forms:

Trust me, if the plumbers weren't in the basement, I would have crawled through that window and gotten a snap of the view from the inside.  That's on the agenda for Sunday...we'll also go over final window sizes then so the lumber can be ordered (framing to start the week of September 16)!!  We also visited Elenbaas Hardwood to look at trim and doors.  I think there's going to be a dutch door in the kitchen...so fun!

Mark and Steve with lots of landscape talk.

Coming up: radon abatement system and backfilling!
